Post 5: Changes to my Study Programme

 Hey!

Today I'm going to talk about the study programme of Chemistry in my university.

Well the first thing that I'm going to talk about our workload. I think that we as a chemist have a few workload in the first and second years but from the 3rd year our workload becomes really harder and we have time for nothing more than study and do our homework. 

What can I say about our subjects? Some of them discontinued nowadays like physicochemistry III and Analytic chemistry. This 2 subjects share the same problem and this is that some things that our professors teach us are obsolete or in the professional world people don't use that anymore such as some methods of analysis or some machines that  are older than the new ones. I think that we must learn to use new techonology and new methods of analysis because when we where in a real situation in our work we will confront that modern machines or methods not the oldest ones.

I think that our faculty have good infraestructure but we have old machines, a lot of them, and it is a must that we need to rechange this. If I must talk about other things outside than the laboratory things I can say that we have good classrooms with a good technology, nothing to say about that.

Post 4: A Time travel to the future

 Hey!!

If I must tell you about where I would like to go in a time travel, I'll choose a place where technology and science are advanced. I want to see the new invention of the humanity in 200 years or more but I would like to go a place where people live happy and there is no problems with corrupted politics and wars or that kind of bad things.

In the techonolgical future I want to see the new advances of science such as new kind of chemistry compunds to improve the polution in the world or new catalyst to improve the energy uses in different kind of industries. Other thing that I would like to see is if they have a new kind of renovable energy and if it is better than the combustible that we use in our time. 

A thing that I really like to see is if cars will fly or not because people in our time are talkin about that since years but it never happens.

I would like to stay in that time only if it is peaceful place and there are no corrupted politics or countries. I think that in our time we have a lot of them and I don't want to see them again in the future. 

That are my thoughts about time travels to the future, there are not that interesting but I really want to see that kind of things and obviously what videogames they have in the future I really love video games.

Post 3: My Dream Job

I don't really know yet what kind of job, my dream job will be certainly I think that it must be in a laboratory of metallurgy or a similar area. I can imagine that there will be a lot of modern measuring equipment and that laboratory will be located in an industry in the proximity of the city.

I think that the skills that I must master are about analytical chemistry and if I'm in the researching area i need a lot of inorganic chemistry knowledge because if people want to research about a modern process or less contamination they hire people for research that kind of stuff.

I know that a chemist doesn't earn not much money in our first years but later we have a good salary in the correct industry. If I decided and was lucky to work in a metallurical industry I think that i will earn a good amount of money.

I'm currently studying chemistry and I'm about to finish my studies, I really like the researching area and doing a post grade is an option to me but i really want to work on an industry too  I can't decide yet what the path will be that I'll choose in the future. I still have a couple months to think about that.

Post 2: The Best Concert ever

My First concert ever was Iron Maiden in april 2011, i went with my dad and it was so special to me because it is our favourite band.

I still can remember that day, it was on april 11th in the Estadio Nacional. There was a lot of people walking in the streets to the stadium all wearing black shirts of Iron Maiden with their favourite album. Closer to the night there was a little bit of fog but the people was so animated and excited that the cold was not a proble. Then at 9 pm the concert was starting. As I said at the beginning it was special to me because i went with my dad, we where singing the songs all the concert and almost on the end they played our favourite song called Fear of the Dark, the lights turned off in all the place and then Bruce Dickinson, the frontman, begin to sing and all the people was singing with him it was amazing. 

Since that year I have been going to all the concerts of Iron Maiden in Chile. I went to other concerts too such as Megadeth, Alice in Chains or Faith no more but Iron Maiden is my favourite band of that kind of music by far. Now i'm waiting to the annoucement of a new world tour of Iron Maiden. 

Post 1: A Country I would like to visit

 What place could you visit if you really like beer and tasty food? yes, the correct answer is Germany.

I'm not going to lie I don't know Germany but I think that a lot of people there can speak English and that can solve a lot of communication problems. I really like beer and in this country, there are a lot of parties and celebrations about beer and food. On the other hand, there are beautiful places to see such as the Branderburg gate, the Constance lake and the giant and beautiful Black Forest (Oh I really want to see it). I would like to see and travel around this country and eat all the food that they have because let me tell you if you seek on the web about German food there is a big number of different food that you can eat and what about beer? Germany has an incredible number of kinds of beers and I would like to drink all of them, truth be told. 

On the other hand I would like to visit Japan, this country has beautiful places to see and the Japanese culture is very respectful and I really like that. Their food looks so good and I would like to eat it.

If there is a chance of studying in one of these places I would really take it because that will be a big chance to know and travel around beautiful places and discover other cultures.

 Hey!

My name is Marco Gonzalez I'm 26 years old, I'm student of Chemistry and this is my 6th year and the final.

I think that my weakness in English is the verbal part because when I have to talk with someone I get a little bit nervous and the conversation come less fluent from my part but I think that with more practice this can be resolved and about my strenght I think that I have a good listening skills and I can understand English very well the .

Talking about the present world situation I can say that people are not comfortable yet because there are a lot of things that we can't do such as before the COVID but I think that in the near future things will be normal again and we are going to do a lot of funny things. Talking about other things I really hate the facial mask, it's difficult to breath and in  summer time it is very uncomfortable to wear the facial mask in the street.
